We do not just teach a skill, we create an environment where kids feel safe to fall, get up, and try again. Whether it is a shy beginner at our Mazgaon centre or a seasoned speed skater, the goal remains the same: helping them build a belief in themselves that carries over into their school and social lives. ### Building Confidence Since 1989 For over three decades, we have been more than just a place to learn roller skating in Mumbai. Our academy is a community where generations of families have grown up together. Parents who were once students at our academy now bring their own children to train with my son, Afzal, and our coaching team. This cycle of trust is what defines us. ### Why Parents Choose Us Many parents tell us, "Lahan mulana khup changlya prakare te shikavtat" (they teach young children very well). This is because we prioritize the emotional and social development of every student alongside their athletic performance. Our training methodology is designed to be: * **Safe and Encouraging:** We focus on gradual progression. We understand that a child's first time on skates can be intimidating, so we use games and group activities to make it fun rather than just a series of technical drills. * **Inclusive:** From our community events like fancy dress shows to our rigorous speed skating batches, there is a place for everyone. We believe in creating champions, but we also believe in making sure every child has a great time. * **Technique-Driven:** For our advanced students training for state-level races at venues like St. Mary’s ICSE, we bring in professional road training, resistance drills, and customized strategy sessions. ### A Partnership in Growth We don't believe in quick fixes. Skating is a journey. Whether you are looking for hobby classes or advanced competitive training, our focus is on consistency and discipline. When you read the experiences of other families, you will see that we are deeply invested in each skater's progress. We want every student to walk away with a medal, yes, but more importantly, with the grit to handle whatever comes their way on and off the skates. ## About Zia's Academy We started this academy in 1989 with nothing but a love for wheels, and today, we see generations of families training with us. My son Afzal and I believe in building skaters who are kind and confident, not just fast on the track. When you join us, you are not just a student; you are part of our skating family.
