It takes the pressure off being perfect and focuses entirely on color, shape, and pure imagination. Learning about famous artists is one of the quickest ways to spark a child's imagination. In our Women in Art series, we move away from textbooks and dive straight into the hands-on magic that defined these icons. We start with Mary Blair’s whimsical, geometric approach to color, which is a fantastic way for beginners to understand composition without feeling overwhelmed by perspective. When we move to Georgia O’Keeffe, we look at nature differently. We use real flowers as models, encouraging kids to zoom in, observe the delicate curves, and experiment with bold gradients. For older students or those interested in human figures, we explore the depth in Amrita Sher-Gil’s work. This is not about copying their paintings line-for-line. It is about understanding their inspiration and translating that into a personal project. **What’s involved in every session:** * **Small group attention:** We keep batches small, so every artist gets the guidance they need. * **All materials included:** From canvases and acrylics to brushes and palette knives, we handle the setup and the cleanup. * **Zero pressure:** Whether your child is 6 or 14, shy or loud, the goal is simple. Get messy, try something new, and leave with a piece of art they’re proud to hang at home. We are located in West Punjabi Bagh and offer flexible weekly modules.
