I sketch quick, expressive portraits of your guests on the spot so they leave with a personalized 'yaadgaar cheez' (memorable thing) in hand. ## Photos and videos - ![A finished mini-portrait, small enough to be a precious keepsake. I use this loose, expressive style for my live event portraits to capture the essence of a person in just a few minutes.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/06add82a-00b5-4ae8-aaff-97ecc35153f8) ## About Quick Portraits for Guests For the watercolor portraits, I usually need about 10-12 minutes per person. It is a sweet sitting time where we can have a quick chat while I paint, making the portrait not just a drawing, but a shared moment. Since I use premium 300 GSM watercolor paper and provide clear sleeves, your guests walk away with a high-quality keepsake that won't smudge or spoil. Whether you are planning a wedding reception in Bandra or a birthday party in Goregaon, my art station brings a bit of 'mazza' (fun) to the room. I don't believe in photo-perfect copies, so you will get loose, expressive, and character-driven sketches that capture the personality of your friends and family. ### Choosing Your Style * **Quick Ink Caricatures:** Perfect for high-volume crowds. In a 3-hour slot, I can sketch 30-35 guests on A5 cardstock. These are monochrome, punchy, and great for larger events where you want many people to have a souvenir. * **Live Watercolor Portraits:** Best for more intimate gatherings or when you want that extra dash of color. I can paint 15-18 guests in a 3-hour slot, using artist-grade watercolors. It feels a bit more premium and thoughtful. ### What I Need From You To make the magic happen, I just need a well-lit table and two chairs—one for me and one for your guest to sit comfortably. If you choose watercolor portraits, access to a water refill point is a big help. I bring all my own materials, including the backing boards and sleeves to ensure the art is protected. ### Why Live Sketching Works It changes the dynamic of the party. Instead of guests just standing around at a cocktail hour, they have a reason to interact, watch someone create, and get something special made for them right then and there. It is a fantastic icebreaker and adds a layer of authentic, handmade charm to your day. ## About Divya Bhatia I'm Divya, and I live for the energy of a room filled with people.
