Here at Yog Mantra, we teach kids how to find their own beat in a space that feels just like home. ## Photos and videos - [Video: A young student is completely focused while learning to play the harmonium. It's wonderful to see kids connect with traditional instruments and develop their musical talents.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/382d244c-0e0d-40f7-bfdd-f04033ed9185) ## About Music & Rhythm Sessions We focus on Hindustani classical basics using the harmonium and keyboard. Because we keep batches small, just 3 to 6 students, your child gets actual attention on finger positioning and rhythm instead of just watching a teacher play. Music is a key part of child development. It helps with focus, patience, and memory. In our sessions, we start with the fundamentals of Hindustani classical vocals and instrument basics. Whether it is the harmonium or a keyboard, we want kids to understand the melody, not just memorize notes. We keep it practical. Students use studio-provided instruments, so you do not need to buy anything before starting. The atmosphere is quiet and focused, perfect for learning, unlike the high-energy dance classes happening in our other rooms. If you are worried about whether your child is too young or too inexperienced, do not be. We welcome absolute beginners. Every session is 60 minutes long, and because the group is limited to 6 students, we can adjust the pace if a child needs extra help with a particular raga or scale. It is about building a foundation that lasts, one note at a time. ## About Yog Mantra I started Yog Mantra because I believe kids need a space to be themselves outside of school. Whether it is the harmonium or just learning to keep time, I love watching them find their rhythm and gain confidence. Bahut acche!
