In my shala, you learn the precise strike techniques for Tibetan singing bowls and the physics of how different frequencies affect the body. You will practice on fellow students, learning to hold space for their release, ensuring you leave not just with a certificate, but with the confidence to guide a full sound bath session safely. ### The Science of Vibration Sound healing is not simply playing bowls. It is about understanding how specific frequencies interact with the human nervous system. In this training, we look at the intersection of traditional sound therapy and modern wellness. You will learn to use singing bowls, gongs, and your own voice to facilitate states of deep relaxation, helping clients bypass stress and move into a restorative state. ### What You Will Master - **Technique:** Proper grip, strike speed, and the 'singing' motion for various bowl types (metal vs. crystal). - **Protocol:** How to structure a 60-minute sound bath, from initial grounding to the final integration. - **Contraindications:** Understanding safety, especially for prenatal students or those with specific medical conditions. - **Space Holding:** How to remain a neutral, supportive presence while your students process their emotional releases. ### Why Train in Mysore The shala in Gokulam provides a focused environment free from daily distractions. You are surrounded by a community of yoga practitioners, creating a resonance that supports deep study. We keep our batches small to ensure you get individual feedback on your technique. Whether you intend to add sound healing to your existing yoga classes or launch a standalone practice, this training gives you the tools to guide others with clarity and heart. ## About Yoga with Srinatha I am B Srinatha. I have been on this path for over 30 years, and my shala in Mysore is where we learn to quiet the mind to hear the body. In these sound healing sessions, I guide you to find the vibration that restores balance, whether you are here to heal yourself or to learn how to guide others.
