Since there is no TV or AC in the rooms, you really feel the mountain pace. If you are planning to drive up, try to reach before sunset; the roads through the pine forests are beautiful but better navigated in daylight. When I say this is a place to disconnect, I mean it. My home sits right in the middle of our family apple orchard, surrounded by tall deodar trees and misty valleys. The life here isn't about tourist spots or busy itineraries—it's about watching the fog drift past your balcony with a cup of fresh mint tea in your hand. ### Life at the Orchard We live slow here. You will wake up to the sound of birds, not alarms. The rooms are crafted with traditional Himachali pine wood and chandeliers, giving you a warm, authentic experience that feels like visiting family rather than staying in a hotel. We cook all our meals using organic produce from our own garden and orchard, so you get to eat real Pahadi food—Siddu, fresh greens, and seasonal fruits picked right off the branch. ### What to Expect * **Digital Detox:** There are no televisions or air conditioning units. The environment is designed to help you hit pause. * **The Terrain:** We are located near Kotkhai. The area is hilly and quiet, perfect for those who want to hike forest trails, pitch a tent, or just sit by the family verandah. * **Weather:** Depending on when you visit, you might catch the monsoon mist or the crisp winter sun.
