Whether you are learning drums with Siddhesh or piano with Nikhil, we build lessons around the songs you actually want to play. We treat fundamental exercises like rudiments and scales as essential 'alphabet' practice, ensuring you have the solid technique needed to eventually join our band and perform live. ### How We Teach At Yellow Lights, we believe music is a journey best shared. Our teaching philosophy is built on three pillars: technical foundation, real-world application, and pure fun. We know that if you are having a blast, you will naturally want to practice. #### Our Methodology * **Trinity Exam Prep:** We offer structured preparation for Trinity College music exams for piano, guitar, drums, and western vocals. These certifications provide a global standard, but we ensure the process doesn't feel like a chore. * **The Band Culture:** Every student gets the opportunity to be part of the Yellow Lights Band. We focus on the art of accompaniment, helping you understand how to jam, listen, and play with others. * **Customized Learning:** There is no one-size-fits-all here. We ask what you vibe with—rock, Bollywood, metal, or pop—and tailor our lesson plans to get you playing those tracks quickly. #### Meet the Gurus * **Siddhesh Sundar (Drums):** A Trinity Grade 8 certified musician with 8 years of experience. He is a multi-talented drummer and percussionist who brings high energy to the classroom, focusing on groove, accents, and ghost notes. * **Nikhil Pachpande (Piano/Keys):** With 20 years of experience, Nikhil is an award-winning music director. He brings a sense of calm and deep musicality to his lessons, having performed on major stages like IIT Mood Indigo. * **Aditya (Guitar/Founder):** The founder of Yellow Lights, Aditya is passionate about pushing students beyond basic hand positions, teaching advanced techniques like guitar tapping to unlock new melodic ideas. Whether you are an adult picking up an instrument for the first time or a student prepping for a grade exam, our goal is to help you *macha dena* (rock it). ## About Yellow Lights Yellow Lights is our crazy dream come alive. We are not just a music school; we are a bunch of people who turn up, plug in, and play together. We focus on teaching the art of musicianship, making sure every student gets the confidence to play live, not just in class.
