When you read about our work in publications like Elle Decor, you are seeing the result of a rigorous dialogue between material, site, and client vision. We bring that same level of scrutiny and individual attention to every project, whether it is a compact city apartment or a sprawling residence. Our recognition in platforms like the iGen 50 Under 40 or The Architect’s Diary is not just about the visual result; it is a validation of our design process. We believe that architecture should engage with its context—a philosophy clearly visible in our featured projects. For the Kamala Residence, we did not just design a home; we managed the complexity of a compact, inward-looking site in Tirupati by using terracotta facades for privacy and climate control. Similarly, our work featured in Design Essentia explores the intersection of bold color palettes and traditional craftsmanship. What connects these projects is our insistence on honest design. We do not chase trends. We prioritize: * **Contextual Responsiveness:** Designing fenestrations and volumes that work with local sun paths and wind directions. * **Materiality:** Using tactile, indigenous materials like Kadappa stone, reclaimed teak, and poured earth to create a sensory experience. * **Personalization:** Every feature story is ultimately a story about our clients—how they live, what they value, and how we translate that into a built form. If you are looking for a design partner who views your project as a dialogue rather than a transaction, these features represent the standards we apply to every site we take on. ## About Yellow Door Architects We are Juhi and Joshua, the architects behind Yellow Door. We approach every home as a quiet conversation between the people living in it and the space they occupy. We do not believe in loud statements, preferring instead to build homes that feel personal, grounded, and timeless.
