When we dive into books, we are not just reciting text. We pause for predictive thinking exercises where we ask your child what happens next. Then we follow up with hands-on activities, like coloring or creating impromptu skits, to ensure the vocabulary and story themes stick long after the session ends. Why do we prioritize interactive reading over repetitive drills? Because a child who sees reading as a chore will eventually stop. At our Juhu studio, we transform library time into a dynamic, social event. Our Foundation English and Reading Group for ages 4 to 8 is designed to bridge the gap between struggling with words and loving them. We use library-based read-alouds, but we augment them with games like word-card Scrabble and sentence-building challenges. It is not just about decoding words. It is about posture, voice modulation, and eye contact. We treat every story as a prompt for discussion. If a character makes a silly choice, we ask your child what they would have done differently.
