Yogesh Samsi ji. Whether we are in a concert hall in Satara or sitting together for informal riyaz, every interaction is a masterclass. These are not just photos; they are the foundation of every taal I play. The Guru-Shishya parampara is the lifeblood of Indian classical music. For me, playing the tabla isn't just about mastering the Kayda, Rela, or Gat from the Punjab and Delhi gharanas; it is about honoring the lineage. When you see me with my Guruji or paying my respects to legends like Ustad Zakir Hussain ji, you are seeing the sources of my technique and my temperament. I believe that a musician’s growth is continuous. These moments—captured from Guru Poornima celebrations to quiet travels—remind me that I am always a student. I carry this respect into every performance, whether I am providing accompaniment for a vocal recital or presenting a full solo concert. If you are looking for an artist who values tradition as much as technical precision, I invite you to connect. ## About Yashwant Vaishnav I am a student of the tabla first, and a performer second. My playing is deeply rooted in the teachings of my Guruji, Pt. Yogesh Samsi ji, and the legends who paved the way for us. I invite you to explore the traditions that define my music.
