Whether I am collaborating with a drummer, a Pakhawaj player, or an electric Zitar, my focus is always on syncing our distinct sounds without losing the essence of the composition. If you are looking for a collaboration, I will need to understand your setup—the instrumentation and the vibe you are aiming for—so we can align our rehearsals properly before the stage time. A successful jugalbandi or fusion set is built on chemistry. I don’t just show up and play; I believe in understanding the other artist's style deeply. For traditional percussion duets, like a Tabla-Pakhawaj 'Sahwadan', we explore the fine interplay between our gharana traditions, highlighting both the similarities and the unique rhythms of each instrument. For modern fusion sets, such as working with drums, keyboards, or electronic setups, I bring a technical approach. I ensure my tabla tuning cuts through the mix while maintaining its authentic, punchy sound. I am fully comfortable working with click-tracks and in-ear monitors to keep the beat locked in with your sound engineer. I handle the logistics, from sound-check coordination to mic placement. Whether it’s a classical festival or a high-energy corporate event, I bring my professional concert-grade gear. I always include at least one technical run-through to get the balance just right. I have performed across Mumbai and various cities in India, and I am ready to travel to where the music takes us. ## About Yashwant Vaishnav My name is Yashwant Vaishnav.
