I use single-use needles and sterilized clamps, and I always wear gloves. Guns cause unnecessary trauma to the tissue and are hard to sterilize properly. Instead, I use a single-use, medical-grade cannula needle for every single client. This method is significantly cleaner, helps the piercing heal faster, and ensures there is no risk of cross-contamination. ### My Hygiene Commitment When you walk into any of my Xtreme Tattoo studios in Bangalore, hygiene is not an option, it is the standard. I open every needle in front of you so you know exactly what is going into your skin. I wear fresh, medical-grade gloves for every procedure, and all clamps and tools undergo strict sterilization processes. ### Why I Avoid Piercing Guns Many malls and shops use piercing guns because they are fast. However, guns cannot be fully autoclaved or sterilized like metal tools. They also push the jewelry through the tissue with blunt force, which often causes swelling, scarring, and a much longer, painful healing time. My needle method is a smoother, precision-based process that respects your body. ### The Aftercare Reality I believe in being honest about what comes after the chair. A piercing is an open wound until it heals. * **Keep it dry:** Moisture is the enemy. After cleaning, gently pat the area dry. * **Hands off:** Your fingers carry bacteria. Do not touch, twist, or rotate the jewelry, even if you are curious. * **Be patient:** Cartilage piercings can take 6 to 12 months to fully heal. Be prepared for that timeline before you commit. Whether you are getting a nose stud in Jayanagar or a belly button piercing in Banashankari, I will walk you through the placement and give you a simple cleaning routine that actually works. If you are ever unsure about how your piercing is healing, just reach out. I am here to help, not just to pierce. ## About Xtreme Tattoos I'm Srinivas, and I have been running Xtreme Tattoos in Bangalore for years.
