We focus on how light interacts with raw materials like brick, wood, and terracotta to create spaces that feel inherently alive. ## Photos and videos - ![Looking up through a narrow void in a building, where wooden louvers create a rhythmic pattern against the sky. When you visit our studio, we don't just look at floor plans; we bring out material samples like terracotta and wire-cut bricks so you can touch the texture and see how the sunlight hits them before a single brick is laid on site. Architecture is more than just structure. It is the careful study of light paths and the honest application of natural materials. Our approach centers on creating buildings that breathe, using techniques that honor the environment and the climate of places like Delhi NCR and Ludhiana. ### The Role of Natural Light We treat sunlight as a building material. Through the strategic placement of voids, skylights, and large glazing, we ensure that every room has a connection to the changing sky. This isn't just for aesthetics. It reduces dependency on artificial lighting and changes the mood of a space throughout the day. ### Why Material Selection Matters We are drawn to materials that age gracefully. Exposed brick, raw concrete, terracotta screens, and reclaimed wood form the palette of our work. These materials are tactile, honest, and earthy. They don't require heavy maintenance or artificial finishes to look good. Instead, they gain character over time. ### Our Process 1. Site Context Analysis: We study wind direction and sun movement to plan the building mass. 2. Detail Development: We design custom elements, from metal screens to staircase railings, ensuring they are both functional and visually striking. 3. Hands-on Supervision: We visit sites during key milestones like casting and masonry, ensuring the design intent is preserved during construction. Whether you are planning a modern villa or a retail space, we bring this same obsession with detail to every project. We want to build spaces that you can feel, not just look at. ## About Worno We are Worno Architects, a design studio rooted in the belief that nature should be the model for every space we build. Our team chases the balance where modern functionality meets raw, honest materials, always keeping the human experience at the center of our work.
