We combine an immersive performance, like our Chitrakathi shadow puppet shows, with a hands-on workshop where everyone, from kids to adults, gets to create their own art to take home. Whether it's a school event or a community gathering, we handle all the technical setups, props, and artist coordination so you can focus on the experience. India’s artistic heritage is vast, but it often gets lost in the rush of daily life. At Wondershop, our goal is to bridge that gap. We focus on reviving traditional forms like Chitrakathi shadow puppetry—an art passed down through ten generations—and vibrant tribal styles like Gond painting. We believe that the best way to keep these traditions alive is by letting people touch, feel, and create them. ### How We Bring Heritage to You We turn your venue into a space for cultural discovery. Our team manages the logistics, from arranging professional artists to setting up portable shadow theaters and providing all craft materials. We believe in active participation: after a performance, we guide participants through a puppet-making or painting session. This isn't about passive watching; it's about doing. ### Popular Heritage Engagements * **Chitrakathi Shadow Puppet Shows:** Perfect for schools and housing societies. We use traditional leather puppets to narrate Panchatantra tales, followed by a puppet-making activity where children use card stock and markers to build their own characters. * **Tribal Art Workshops:** Dive into Gond painting, where we teach participants to capture wildlife using intricate dots and dashes, or explore Lippan art, the traditional mud and mirror work from Gujarat. * **Custom Experiences:** Whether it is a festival celebration or an educational program, we adapt our storytelling and art activities to suit the audience. We travel across the Mumbai Metropolitan Area to set up at your chosen facility. If you prefer, you are always welcome to join us at our Vikhroli studio for a more intimate session. Let us help you organize an event that feels rooted in culture rather than just another standard activity. ## About Wondershop We're Wondershop, a team dedicated to making heritage arts meaningful again. We believe that when people get their hands messy with mud, clay, or paint, they connect deeper with our roots. We don't just teach; we create a space for stories to be shared and traditions to be celebrated.
