This means you take home a durable, usable ceramic piece—like the spiral vases shown in our gallery—rather than just a temporary, crumbling clay model. Pottery is one of those rare activities that forces you to put the phone down and focus entirely on the present. At our Vikhroli studio, we strip away the intimidation factor. You do not need any prior experience to join us; whether you are an adult looking for a creative outlet or a parent wanting to get your child away from screens, our sessions are designed to be accessible and fun. We break down the process into manageable skills. You will learn the basics of wheel throwing, where the centering of the clay happens, and explore hand-building techniques like pinching and coiling for those who prefer working at their own pace. What truly sets our ceramics program apart is the guided mentorship. Our instructor, Ganesh, ensures that every participant gets individual attention to troubleshoot their technique, ensuring that your clay doesn't collapse and your structure holds. We emphasize the entire lifecycle of a ceramic piece. You are not just 'playing with mud'; you are completing the artistic journey. After you mold your creation, we take it through the kiln. The firing process transforms the soft clay into a finished, hard-wearing ceramic, and the glazing adds the protective, beautiful finish that makes your piece functional for daily use. It is immensely satisfying to sip tea from a mug or place flowers in a vase that your own hands shaped. Our batches are kept intentionally small to ensure everyone has ample time on the wheel and specialized tools. We provide all the supplies, including aprons and clay, so you just need to bring your energy. ## About Wondershop We are Wondershop, a space where you can trade screen time for some good old-fashioned clay work. We focus on the process—the giggles, the messy hands, and the satisfaction of shaping something from scratch with artists like Ganesh guiding the way.
