## About Sprawling Farmhouse & Villa Estates

When I work on estates this size, the difference between a garden that thrives and one that struggles is in the soil engineering. To ensure an immediate, lush impact rather than waiting years for growth, I focus on precise site grading and the transplantation of mature, climate-hardy trees, ensuring they anchor and adapt to your property's specific microclimate from the very first day.

Designing a landscape for a farmhouse or large villa requires moving beyond decoration and into the realm of site management. My approach for sprawling estates centers on three pillars: structural integrity, long-term ecosystem health, and privacy.

### Structural Hardscaping & Flow
Large properties demand balance between built structures and green space. I integrate functional hardscaping like floating stone steps, custom-built pergolas, and sunken seating areas that serve as natural gathering points. By utilizing materials like granite, sandstone, and wood, I ensure these elements survive the harsh Delhi summers and monsoons without compromising on aesthetics.

### The Science of Mature Growth
Many clients want a garden that feels complete upon installation. This is why I prioritize soil health and mature planting. We handle large-scale drainage planning to prevent waterlogging, a common issue in Delhi NCR estates. By properly grading the land and installing drip irrigation for every zone, we create a self-sustaining environment that requires less maintenance over time.

### Creating a Sanctuary
Privacy is the greatest luxury in a farmhouse. I design living walls using tall bamboo, Ficus hedges, and strategically placed canopy trees to block out surrounding urban noise and neighboring sightlines. Whether you are envisioning a formal Japanese Zen garden with raked gravel or a dense, tropical grove that mimics a private jungle, my team executes the civil works and softscaping to ensure your estate feels like a complete getaway from the city.

## About Whispering Gardens

I’m Ritu. I left my life as a maths lecturer to learn garden design in London because I wanted to create sanctuaries, not just decorative spaces. My work focuses on building landscapes that feel like an escape, where the design is as much about peace of mind as it is about the plants.
