Sometimes it is about roasted rice, thousands of staples, or shattered glass coming together to tell a story. Discover our unconventional approach to portraiture. ## Photos and videos - [Video: This portrait of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was created by carefully shattering glass. Whether it is the 50 hours of roasting rice to achieve perfect gradients or the delicate precision of placing thousands of staples, these pieces are built to last and designed to make people stop and look twice. Let us discuss what material suits your specific vision. At our Mumbai studio, we treat unconventional materials as our paint. This cluster showcases our journey into media that most people would never consider for portraiture. ### Our Process with Unconventional Media * **Roasted Rice:** We don't just use rice; we roast it to precise temperatures. This changes the grain from light beige to deep brown, allowing us to create intricate portraits, like our Shivaji Maharaj tribute, without using a single drop of ink. It is a slow, meticulous process that respects the raw material. * **Staple Art:** This is one of our most labor-intensive mediums. We use thousands of staples, placed individually by hand to build density and shading. The result is a sharp, textured piece that catches the light differently from every angle, perfect for modern interiors. * **Shattered Glass:** We manipulate fragility into strength. By carefully cracking glass, we create mosaic-like portraits that feel raw and impactful. These are statement pieces, best suited for walls where you want to grab immediate attention. * **Stone Art:** Using natural pebbles to build portraits allows for a tactile, grounded look. We curate the stones based on size and natural tone to form detailed imagery. ### Why Choose Experimental Art? If you are tired of standard acrylics or digital prints, these works offer a tangible, 3D quality that brings a room to life. They are heavy, durable, and completely unique to your space. We love collaborating on ideas that push our boundaries, so if you have a material in mind that represents something personal to you, bring it to us. Let's see what we can create together. ## About whARTever We are Varsha and Vivek, and we love breaking the rules of traditional art.
