We roast rice and pulses at different temperatures for up to 50 hours to pull out deep, natural shades of brown and black without using a drop of paint. Every portrait is then sealed in professional-grade resin, making the surface moisture-proof, pest-proof, and easy to wipe clean for years. ### The Process: Pointillism with Nature Think of our grain art as a mosaic where every pixel is a real piece of food. We start with a detailed sketch of your subject—be it a family member, a cultural icon, or a deity. The color palette isn't bought from a shop; it’s cooked in our studio. ### Why Roasting Matters We roast rice, lentils, and other pulses for hours. By controlling the heat, we create a spectrum of tones, from light beige to deep charcoal. This gives the artwork a stunning, organic depth that paint simply cannot replicate. Because we use natural grains, the texture is highly tactile, catching light and shadow in a way that makes the portrait feel alive. ### Durability and Preservation We know an investment piece needs to last. Once the placement is perfect, we apply a permanent sealant. This does two things: it locks every grain into place so nothing falls off, and it protects the piece from humidity and pests. Your artwork is framed in glass to keep it air-tight and dust-free. ### Customization This style works best for high-contrast subjects—faces with distinct features, religious idols, or iconic figures. Since every piece is built grain by grain using tweezers, we have full control over the level of detail. Whether it is a gift for a wedding or a feature piece for your living room, it is a one-of-a-kind, eco-friendly story on your wall. ## About whARTever We are Varsha and Vivek, a duo who have spent 14 years turning walls and canvases into stories.
