If you witness cruelty, do not just scroll past. Document the incident, report it to the nearest police station by dialing 112, and contact local animal welfare NGOs like Friendicoes or CUPA immediately. Your voice is often the first line of defense for animals who cannot speak for themselves. Caring for dogs is a collective duty rather than a solo hobby. Whether you are dealing with mandatory pet registrations in Gurugram or navigating the new Shwana app for ABC and ARV programs in Bengaluru, staying informed is the best way to help. The law is on the side of our animals, but it only functions when we use it. If you live in a city where dog registration is mandatory, keep your paperwork sorted. It is a small step that brings massive accountability to pet ownership. Beyond rules, we believe in the stories of our streets. When we look at community dogs, we do not just see strays; we see neighbors who deserve dignity. From local vaccination drives to simple acts of kindness like offering water or shade, every action adds up. We actively document and share these realities to shift the narrative from apathy to action. If you have a story about a community dog or need guidance on how to report animal cruelty in your area, our community is here to support you. Let us turn concern into care, one dog at a time. ## About Sploot We are not just here to walk your dog or cook their meals. We are a group of passionate pet parents who refuse to look away when things get tough, and we are committed to building a safer, kinder environment for every dog, whether they live on the street or in your home.
