It isn't about creating grand backdrops; it is about highlighting the raw chemistry between a mother and son, allowing the humor of the script and the nuance of the performances to truly land in venues like Ranga Shankara. ### Why By2Coffee Matters By2Coffee isn't just another play on the calendar. It is a story about the messy, beautiful reality of a mother-son bond. When we wrote this, we wanted to reflect the conversations that happen in every middle-class household—the arguments, the compromises, and the quiet moments of understanding that happen over something as simple as a cup of coffee. ### The 'Ekanka' Philosophy We are huge believers in the power of the *ekanka* (one-act play). It is short, direct, and leaves you with a thought that lingers long after you leave the theatre. By2Coffee embodies this. It doesn't rely on massive sets or complex costume changes. It relies on the writing and the performer's ability to hold the space. ### Why You Should Watch If you have ever felt misunderstood by your parents or struggled to articulate your love for your child, you will see yourself on that stage. This play has been recognized by the Kannada Sahitya Parishath, but we are prouder of the fact that it consistently connects with our audience at Ranga Shankara. We perform regularly across Bengaluru. If you have a free evening, come by. It’s not just a show; it’s a reflection of our society, our language, and our shared culture. ## About WeMove Theatre I’m Abhishek Iyengar, and with WeMove Theatre, I want to bridge the gap between the stage and your life.
