In our sessions, we pull apart that habit. You do not need fancy jargon to understand a script or build a character; you need honesty in your thoughts. Whether you are struggling with audition nerves or finding it hard to get out of your own head, the fix is usually in the basics: breath, movement, and trusting your own unique choices. ### Grooming Performers for Theatre WeMove GPT stands for Grooming Performers for Theatre. It is not about technology, but about building a foundation for actors in Bengaluru. My goal is to move you beyond just memorizing lines to actually understanding the stage and the people you are performing with. ### Audition Fundamentals I often see actors nervous about auditions. Here is the process I teach: * Know your script completely, from start to finish. * Make bold, unique choices that differentiate you from the character description provided. * Keep it real. Directors are looking for human behaviour, not dramatic, over-the-top acting. ### Stop Mimicking One of the biggest hurdles I see is the tendency to copy others. Mimicry might get you a laugh, but it will not build a career. If you want to grow, observe the world around you, develop unique traits for your characters, and rehearse how those traits react within the Navarasa (nine emotions). ### Learn at Our Studio All this theory needs to be tested on the floor. Our Jayanagar studio is built for this. It is a space for rehearsals, jams, and building a community where you can make mistakes and learn without being judged. If you are ready to stop playing it safe, come join us for our next session. ## About WeMove Theatre I am Abhishek Iyengar. I started WeMove Theatre to move past just performing lines. I believe in helping you find your own voice, not copy someone else’s. If you are ready to put in the work, come join us at our Jayanagar studio.
