When your dog boards with us, they aren't just meeting staff; they are being socialized by our resident pack. This natural interaction is how we help shy or energetic dogs settle in, using established dog-to-dog communication rather than human-imposed discipline. ### More Than Just Boarding At Wagg City, boarding is an extension of our rescue work. We believe the best way to keep a dog balanced is to let them be part of a functioning pack. Unlike sterile kennels, our space in Halanayakanahalli is built for natural interaction. We don't just 'manage' dogs; we let them live. ### The Role of Our Rescues Our resident rescues, our 'gundas', are the heart of the facility. They know the yard, they know the ropes, and they are masters at reading other dogs. When a new dog arrives, our rescues act as the first line of socialization. They teach boundaries, initiate play, and help newcomers understand the rules of the pack. This is #adoptdontshop in action—showing that rescue dogs are capable, confident, and integral members of our community. ### Our Commitment We fight for stray rights and push for compassionate handling of all animals. Every dog that stays with us contributes to the resources we need to keep this mission alive. We don't have cages, and we don't have corporate schedules. We have a daily rhythm defined by the needs of the animals, whether that's a midday nap in the AC or a chase in the yard. If you believe in a life where dogs are treated as family, not inventory, you'll find a home here. ## About Wagg City I'm not a facility owner; I'm the guy scooping the poop and hanging out with the pack. My life is dedicated to my animals, from the cows and pigs to the rescues that run this place. We keep it real, raw, and full of love.
