When we think about mehndi, the hands often get all the attention, but the feet are the real foundation of a complete bridal or festive look. My approach to feet mehndi is about balance and longevity. Because we walk and move more than we use our hands, the placement of motifs matters. I often use 'anklet' style borders that frame the ankle, preventing the design from rubbing off too quickly while keeping the aesthetic elegant. ### My Approach to Feet Mehndi * **Traditional Rajasthani & Indian Styles:** For weddings, I lean into heavy, dense patterns that mirror the complexity of hand designs. Think intricate jaal work, peacocks, and architectural motifs that extend from the toes to the mid-calf. * **Customization:** Whether it is a Ganesha mandala for a puja or a fun, playful design like teddy bears for a Godh Bharai (baby shower), I love incorporating elements that mean something to you. If you have a specific scene or symbol in mind, we can work that into the feet design. * **The Stain Matters:** Just like with hand mehndi, I use my 100% natural, chemical-free henna. I prepare it fresh and let it mature for 24 hours to ensure that when the paste comes off, you get that deep, dark, auspicious stain that every bride hopes for.
