It is about feeling a tap on your shoulder when no one is near, or smelling a fresh fruit that isn't even in the room. This is where your senses become part of the performance. ## Photos and videos - [Video: I asked him to imagine squeezing a fresh mango in his hands. I am right at your table. You will feel the sensation of a tap on your shoulder or the distinct aroma of a mango while I am standing feet away, clearly visible. It relies on your participation and the shared focus of your group, making it an experience that happens to you, not just for you. The magic I do isn't about fooling you with complex props. It is about closing the gap between the performer and the guest. Whether I am strolling through a corporate event in Bengaluru or performing at a private party in Chennai, my goal remains the same: to create a genuine moment of connection. Sensory illusions, like the Invisible Touch, are often the most talked-about part of my performance. It is a psychological play where the power of suggestion and proximity come together. You are fully awake and aware, yet your brain processes a sensation that physically isn't happening. People often ask if it is hypnosis, but it is actually much simpler. It is about focus and shared energy. When I bring in the scent illusions, like the mango or pineapple trick, it breaks the final barrier. We are used to trusting our eyes, but we rarely rely on our sense of smell in a social setting. When that smell manifests in your palm, the logic of the moment just collapses. It is raw, it is funny, and it makes people laugh out loud because they cannot explain it. These performances work best at close quarters. If you are planning an event where you want guests to engage with each other, rather than just stare at a stage, this style of mentalism fits perfectly. I do not need a microphone or a setup. I just need a group of people ready to be a little bit surprised. ## About Vivek Ranjit I see magic as a way to connect with people, not just a set of tricks to perform. My dad taught me to work hard and keep things honest, and that is exactly how I approach every performance. I am just a guy who loves sharing impossible moments.
