The truth is, more projects are better than more certificates. Companies want to see proof of your skills on GitHub, not just PDFs of course completions.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/4a1d83f3-904c-4be9-85d0-0e51d922ae42) ## About Busting Tech Myths Stop collecting certificates and start building your GitHub repository. Recruiters do not care about your PDFs, they care about your ability to solve problems with code. Whether you are building a simple console app or a complex full-stack project, that working code is the only resume that actually matters. ### The Certificate Collector Trap Many students spend months collecting course completion certificates, thinking this is the key to a job. It is not. In the real world, companies look for proof of skill. If you have done ten courses but have zero live projects, you are behind the candidate who did one course and built a real-world application. At Visual Labs, we prioritize project-based learning because that is what hiring managers want to see. ### The Hardware Myth Don't let the lack of a high-end MacBook stop you from starting. You don't need a powerful machine to learn data science or web development. With tools like Google Colab, you can run complex code directly in your browser on any budget laptop with an internet connection. The barrier to entry is much lower than you think. ### Is Coding Only for Geniuses? This is the biggest myth out there. Coding is not about high IQ, it is about consistency. If you can solve small logical problems daily, you can build a career. We see students go from zero to coder by focusing on daily practice, mini projects, and disciplined learning. You do not need to be a genius, you just need to start, stay consistent, and build the right habits. ### What Should You Focus On? If you are just starting, pick one lane—Java, Python, or Web Development—and go deep. Don't try to learn everything at once. Focus on the core syntax, build a project, host it, and then move to the next logical step. We are here to guide you on exactly which path matches your goals, whether that is data science, full stack development, or cloud computing. ## About Visual Labs I am Aman Qazi.
