Whether I am playing a house party or a club night in Bangalore, I use live scratching and beat juggling to bridge the gap between old-school hip hop legends and today’s commercial hits. It is about taking a song your guests know and re-mixing it in real-time so they hear something brand new, keeping the energy levels high. ### More Than Just a Playlist When you hire a turntablist, you are not paying for someone to press play on a laptop. You are getting a live performer. My set relies on professional Pioneer CDJ gear and a library of tracks that I manipulate on the fly. I specialize in: * **Beat Juggling:** Creating new rhythms by looping and manipulating two copies of the same record. * **Live Scratching:** Adding a percussive, rhythmic layer to the music that makes the room feel alive. * **Custom Mashups:** I blend vocals from one track with the beat of another, creating unique mixes you will not hear anywhere else. ### My Approach to Your Event I bring the same focus to an intimate house party in Indiranagar as I do to a massive club night in Koramangala. My goal is to read the room. If the crowd needs a high-energy transition, I drop a fast-paced mashup. If the vibe is a bit more relaxed, I lean into smooth RnB transitions. Before every gig, we do a quick consultation. You tell me your 'Must Play' and 'Do Not Play' lists, and I build the set around your specific needs. I handle all the technical connectivity, so all you have to do is focus on the dance floor. If you want a DJ who acts as an MC and keeps the energy locked in for hours, let's talk. ## About Vikram AK I am Vikram AK, and for me, hip hop is more than a genre, it is my heartbeat. I am a turntablist, not a button-pusher. When you hire me, you are getting someone who treats the decks like an instrument, hyping your guests and building the vibe from the first beat to the last.
