Our sessions run Monday to Saturday, 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM, regardless of the season, because consistent practice is the only way to earn a spot on our district or state-level championship teams. Kabaddi is not just about raw power; it is about agility, strategic thinking, and discipline. At Vijay Club, we focus on laying this foundation from a young age. Our youth program is split into Under-14, Sub-Junior, and Junior groups, ensuring that every player gets training tailored to their developmental stage. ### The Shivaji Park Advantage We operate out of Dadar's iconic Shivaji Park, utilizing a red soil ground. This surface is specific to our training because it forces players to work harder on their balance and defensive holds compared to synthetic mats. It is grueling, but that is how we build championship-ready stamina. ### Training Methodology Our sessions are structured to be intense. We do not skip practice, whether it is the scorching summer or the middle of Mumbai’s heavy monsoon. * **Drills:** We emphasize rope climbing, bodyweight strength, and specialized drills for raiders and defenders. * **Strategy:** Players are taught offensive skills like the Dubki and Toe Touch, alongside defensive chain formations. * **Competition:** Our junior squads regularly participate in and win Mumbai City District Championships. We focus on preparing our athletes for high-stakes tournaments organized by bodies like Amar Hind Mandal. ### Why Join Us? If you are looking for a casual hobby, this might not be the place for you. We are looking for commitment. Our senior national-level players and club veterans personally mentor the youth, passing down decades of technique and strategy. We provide the platform, the coaching, and the competitive exposure; your job is to bring the discipline. ## About Vijay Club We are more than just a team; we are a family that has been training at Shivaji Park since 1949. We believe that if the body isn't fit, a person is zero, and we bring that intensity to every junior training session.
