With the right pruning, grafted varieties, and our specialized vertical towers, you can harvest guavas, lemons, and even figs from a small balcony or terrace. The secret is not space; it is how you manage the vertical setup. Urban gardening is not just about leafy greens. By using grafted fruit plants, you shorten the time it takes to see produce, allowing trees to bear fruit in containers much faster than traditional saplings. We focus on plants like lemon, guava, and anjeer that adapt well to the limited soil volume of a tower. ### Why Grafted Matters Grafted plants are essential for balcony setups. They stay compact, resist common diseases better, and fruit significantly earlier. Whether you want a lemon tree for your morning tea or a drumstick tree for its nutritional value, selection is half the battle. We guide you on choosing varieties that do not grow into massive, uncontrollable trees. ### Maintenance and Care Growing fruit vertically requires a different approach than ground planting. You must master pinching and pruning to keep the plant bushy and productive rather than tall and lanky. For medicinal plants like neem, regular pruning serves a dual purpose. It creates a compact shape while providing leaves you can process into natural pesticides for the rest of your garden. ### The Vertical System Advantage Our towers are designed to handle the weight and root structure of fruit-bearing plants. We plan the spacing and soil mix specifically to support these varieties. If you are in Delhi NCR, we can install the entire system for you. For those outside our direct service zone, we provide the hardware and the mentorship to build and maintain the tower yourself. You get access to our support group where you can share photos of your plants for specific, plant-by-plant advice. ## About Veg Roof I started this because I wanted to grow my own food on my own roof.
