You don't need a farm to grow your own organic produce. Even a tiny balcony in Delhi can become your private source of fresh, chemical-free greens. ## Photos and videos - [Video: Samosas fried in rancid oil, golgappas with contaminated water, vegetables sold next to open drains. Growing food isn't just about the harvest, it is about control. When you use my vertical towers, you stop guessing what is on your plate. I use a soil-based system, not hydroponics, because it is more forgiving and creates a genuine ecosystem that keeps pests away without heavy chemical sprays. You get the real taste of a home-grown tomato or bhindi right from your balcony, free from the systemic pesticide abuse common in industrial farming. ### The Reality of Market Produce We have all seen it—vegetables displayed next to open drains or treated to look shiny with harmful chemicals. Reports indicate that over 60% of green vegetables in India exceed safe pesticide limits. When you start your own vegetable gardening journey, you are not just growing plants; you are protecting your family from this reality. ### Why My Vertical Towers Work I built VegRoof because I wanted to garden on my own terrace, but space was a constraint. My vertical towers are designed for the Delhi NCR lifestyle: * **Soil-Based:** Unlike complicated hydroponic setups, these use a nutrient-rich organic soil mix. It is forgiving for beginners and keeps plants healthier naturally. * **Space Efficient:** You can fit 30-36 plants in a 6-foot balcony setup without sacrificing floor space. * **Climate Resilient:** We use sturdy PVC units and GI wire anchoring to withstand Delhi's winds and summer heat. ### What You Actually Need Gardening is not just about buying a kit. It requires patience and a little bit of 'himmat' (courage). Whether you are struggling with mealybugs, dealing with poor soil drainage, or just wondering why your chillies are dropping, I provide the support to help you fix it. My service goes beyond installation. We include access to WhatsApp support groups where we tackle pest control, pruning techniques, and seasonal rotation together. If you are in Delhi NCR, we handle the onsite setup—from soil mixing to final installation. If you are outside the city, we guide you through every step with our DIY kits so you can build your own ecosystem anywhere. ## About Veg Roof I am VegRoof, and I am just a guy from Delhi who started gardening on my own roof to escape the city's chaos.
