When we set up your system, we don't just hand you a kit; we teach you the nuances of pH, EC levels, and water management. You don’t need to be a botanist to get it right, but you do need to understand that hydroponics is a living system. It requires consistent light, proper nutrition, and a little patience. Whether it's leafy greens in an NFT channel or fruiting vegetables in a Dutch bucket, we ensure the infrastructure handles the complexity so you can focus on the picking. ### From Leafy Greens to Fruiting Vines We often hear the question: "What can I actually grow in Mumbai?" The answer is: more than you think. Our setups are designed to handle everything from delicate lettuce and kale in NFT channels to robust fruiting plants like brinjal, chillies, and tomatoes in grow bags or Dutch buckets. ### Why Choice Matters in Your Garden When we plan your space, we look at the sun path and ventilation. - **Leafy Greens:** These are our 'quick wins'. Spinach, lettuce, and basil grow beautifully in our hydroponic systems. They need less space and thrive in the filtered light of a balcony. - **Fruiting Vegetables:** For tomatoes, okra (bhindi), and cucumbers, we recommend vertical setups or high-density grow bags. These plants need more 'heavy lifting' in terms of nutrients and support, which is where our custom trellising comes in. ### Practical Tips for the Mumbai Climate Urban farming in a city like ours has specific challenges. The humidity can fluctuate, and the monsoon requires extra attention to pest management. This is why we focus on 'closed-loop' systems—they are more water-efficient and naturally protected from ground-level pests. ### Frequently Asked Questions **Can I really grow in a small balcony?** Yes. A 4-channel NFT system barely takes up 4 feet of wall space and can hold 30+ plants. It is the perfect entry point for urban residents. **Do I need to manage the chemicals?** We manage the complexity of nutrient mixing (pH and EC) during setup and provide you with a simple schedule. Our focus is organic and pesticide-free, so you only harvest healthy, clean produce for your kitchen. ## About Vedang Agro We are Vedang Agro, and we believe your kitchen garden should be as fresh as your produce.
