I do not play music in a vacuum. Whether it is a 1500-person corporate event or an intimate sangeet, I use real-time crowd reading, Bollywood dialogues, and energetic MC duties to turn the audience into participants. If you want a DJ who creates a conversation with your guests rather than just fading tracks in and out, I am the right fit. A dance floor only stays full when the DJ understands the room. My approach to crowd interaction is about reading energy levels and knowing exactly when to drop a track, when to hype the crowd on the mic, and when to let the music speak for itself. ### The VDJ Advantage Because I am a VDJ, my interaction is not limited to audio. I sync custom visuals with my live hosting, meaning I can cue graphics that match the vibe I am creating on the mic. Whether it is a high-energy corporate bash in Mumbai or a destination wedding in Jaipur, I coordinate with the venue team to ensure the audio-visual sync is sharp. ### Beyond the Console I am never the guy hiding behind the setup. You will see me on the mic, directing the energy, sharing cheeky one-liners, and getting everyone involved. I have handled diverse crowds, from professional corporate audiences in Tokyo to family-heavy wedding celebrations. I know the etiquette for each. For corporate events, I keep it sharp and professional. For weddings and private parties, I lean into the fun, using Hindi dialogue and crowd-pleasing chants that get people moving. ### Technical Execution Great interaction requires crisp sound. I arrive well before your event starts for a detailed sound check. I ensure the mic levels are balanced against the music so that every shout-out and announcement is clear, not distorted. You get a performer who manages the technical flow of the night so you can focus on enjoying the party. ## About Mervin Tixeira I am Mervin, and I live for the moment when a crowd turns into a single, high-energy unit. You will find me on the mic just as much as I am behind the console because a great party is a conversation, not just a playlist.
