I use rhythmic sounds like 'unka chaka' to help you feel the music in your body rather than counting in your head. Whether it's a 60-minute deep dive or a multi-hour bootcamp, the goal is for you to walk away with a better understanding of how the music works, not just a sequence of moves you'll forget by Monday. ### My Festival Approach I show up at festivals ready to keep things real. You won’t find stiff choreography in my classes. I want people to get lost in the music and actually feel the vibe. Whether we are tackling Salsa On1/On2, Dominican Bachata, or Afro-Cuban rhythms, my workshops are about building a solid foundation through musicality and connection. ### What We Cover in Bootcamps * **Rhythmic Breakdown:** We ditch the counts and listen to the instruments. You'll learn to hear the Son clave, the bongo, and the conga. * **Movement & Flow:** From isolation drills to body movement, we work on making your dancing feel natural and grounded. * **Practical Application:** I focus on social dancing skills. You'll learn how to lead or follow with intention, how to handle role-switching, and how to adapt your footwork on the fly. * **Q&A & Recaps:** We always leave time to break down technical doubts, and for intensive bootcamps, I provide recap videos so you can keep practicing long after the event ends. ### Let’s Dance My bootcamps are designed to be progressive and accessible. Whether you are a beginner looking to find your rhythm or an advanced dancer wanting to clean up your basics and add some flavor, I adapt the content to the energy of the room. If you are organizing a festival, hosting a dance event, or just want to bring some high-energy, authentic Latin dance vibes to your community, let's chat about what we can put together. Chalo, dance karein! ## About Kalpana Hi, I'm Kalpana. I live for the energy of dance festivals and the community we build on the floor.
