I use professional ceramic paints that cure to a glossy, durable finish. While these pieces are strictly for display—they are not food-safe or dishwasher-proof—they make for a standout conversation piece on any mantel or wall. Painting on bone china is a delicate balance. Unlike paper or canvas, the paint sits on top of the glaze, which creates a rich effect with subtle brush strokes that light catches beautifully. I use professional ceramic paints to ensure the colors stay vibrant and bond to the porcelain surface. Because this is a specialized medium, the process is slightly different from my pencil or acrylic work. I need a clear, high-resolution photo to work from, as the glaze reflects light differently than matte paper. Once finished, I seal the artwork to keep the finish glossy and protected. These plates are designed purely for decor. Whether you place them on a mantel, hang them on a wall using a plate hook, or display them on an easel, they bring a different kind of warmth to a room than a standard framed photo. If you are looking for a commemorative piece for an anniversary, a tribute, or just a unique addition to your home, this is a great option. I ship these safely across India from my studio in Bangalore, packed securely to prevent any damage during transit. ## About Varun N Rao Hi, I am Varun.
