Whether you choose a traditional Kerala mural style or a minimalist yoga-themed piece, we will finalize the composition and color palette together before I put brush to canvas. This collaborative process ensures the final artwork feels personal and meaningful to your daily environment. ### My Approach to Spiritual Art Art should be more than just wall decor; it should be a grounding presence in your room. When I approach spiritual and meditative themes, I focus on the balance between color and silence. ### Custom Murals and Meditative Themes I specialize in translating stories and concepts into visual form. If you have a deity, a specific meditative concept, or a cultural narrative in mind, we start by discussing the composition. For traditional work like my Kerala mural-style Krishna painting, I study the iconography and symbolism before outlining. For modern or conceptual pieces like my 'Elevation' yoga-themed work, I focus on mood, often using limited palettes to evoke a sense of calm. ### The Process * **Consultation:** We discuss the space where the art will go and the atmosphere you want to create. * **Sketching:** I provide a layout sketch for your approval before I begin the painting. * **Painting:** I use heavy-body acrylics, which provide depth and longevity. * **Finishing:** Every piece is sealed with a protective varnish, either matte or gloss, to ensure it stays vibrant. I use a gallery-wrap style where the canvas edges are painted, allowing you to hang the piece as is without needing an external frame. ### Why Commission a Piece? You get a painting that isn't mass-produced. Whether it is a small canvas for a study nook or a larger, complex piece for a living room, I ensure the work is packed with care and reaches you safely. If you have an idea for a spiritual or meditative piece, let us talk about how we can bring it to life on canvas. ## About Varun N Rao I am Varun, an engineer by day and an artist by heart. I didn't go to art school, but I learned by doing, focusing on the stories and emotions behind every subject I paint. When I am not sketching portraits, I am usually lost in meditative or mural-style canvases that aim to bring a little bit of peace into your home.
