When I’m creating my motif-based tops, it’s not just stitching—it’s puzzle-solving. Each hexagon or flower motif is a separate piece that requires precise tension, or the whole structure will sag. It’s why a single lace top can take me 25+ hours of work. When you see the final product, you’re looking at days of focus, not a quick, machine-made knit. People often ask me why handmade crochet takes so long, and the answer is simple: there are no machines that can do what I do. Machines can knit, but they cannot replicate the structure of true crochet. Every loop is created by my hands, controlled by my eyes, and fueled by a lot of patience—and sometimes, a flashlight when I’m working with black yarn late at night! **My Process: From Vision to Wearable Art** It usually starts with a conversation. You bring me a vibe, a reference photo, or just a color you love. From there, I select the yarn—whether it's premium mercerized cotton for a drape that lasts or soft Turkish yarn for cozy winter knits. If it’s a custom piece, like my signature lace tops, I start by hand-assembling dozens of individual motifs. I join them using a 'join-as-you-go' technique, which creates that intricate, airy look without the bulk. **The 'Slow Fashion' Reality** This is what I mean by *mehnat*. When I craft a sweater or a custom dress, I’m building it row by row. It’s meditative for me, but it also means I don’t rush. I’ve learned that the secret to a great piece isn't just the design, but the tension—keeping the stitches uniform so the fabric hangs right. It’s slow fashion in the truest sense. Whether it’s a boho top for a summer festival or a festive crochet rakhi, every order is a piece of my journey.
