This preparation ensures the rhythm cuts through the noise and hits with the right impact the moment we start playing. When you choose a traditional Chenda Melam for your event, you are adding a layer of energy that is difficult to replicate with recorded music. As a Kalasamithi, our strength lies in our synchronization, which comes from years of performing together as a collective. We approach every booking, whether it is a small housewarming or a large wedding baraat, with the same commitment to authentic Kerala percussion. ### Choosing the Right Setup We offer three distinct configurations to suit different event requirements in Bangalore: * **Entrance Welcome (6 Artists):** Ideal for smaller venues or intimate ceremonies where you need a traditional presence without overwhelming the space. This setup provides 45 to 60 minutes of focused performance. * **Procession & Baraat (10 Artists):** Designed for mobility. If you are planning a 1.5 km procession or need the band to move with the crowd, this larger group allows for Shinkari-style dance steps and enough acoustic volume to handle outdoor street noise. * **Grand Festival Symphony (15 Artists):** Our high-impact ensemble for large open grounds or stages. This configuration includes a mix of Uruttu Chenda for melody and Veekku Chenda for bass, designed to create a wall of sound that keeps the crowd engaged. ### Why Live Melam Matters The difference between a standard percussion group and a traditional Melam lies in the nuances of the Pandi and Panchari beats. Because our team is composed of experienced players, we maintain rhythm consistency even during high-energy procession movements. Whether we are positioned at your venue entrance to welcome guests or leading a crowd through the streets of Bangalore, our goal is to maintain the festive spirit and energy throughout the performance duration. ## About V4 Kalasamithi We are V4 Kalasamithi, a collective of artists from Kerala now based in Bangalore. We grew up surrounded by the sounds of temple festivals and traditional percussion, and our goal is to share that authentic energy with you.
