You do not need years of training to get started; I break down every step, from basic Bollywood thumkas to intricate fusion patterns, so you feel comfortable and empowered from the very first minute. My approach to teaching isn't about rigid perfection; it’s about connecting with the music and your own rhythm. At Tarang Studio, I focus on building a supportive environment where you can let your guard down and just enjoy the process. We offer a mix of styles including Bollywood, Indo-contemporary, and folk fusion. If you have ever wanted to learn but were intimidated by dance studios, this is the place for you. We focus on movement quality and expression rather than just rote memorization. Beyond just the steps, these workshops are a space for community. Whether you are joining a weekend Bollyhop session or a dedicated fusion batch, you will find that the studio becomes a place to de-stress and recharge. I also run specialized workshops for corporate teams looking for a creative outlet and students preparing for my annual 'Manch' showcase. If you have a specific goal or just want to shake off the week's stress, reach out and we can find a spot for you. ## About Urmilla Thakkar I believe that dance is the best way to hit pause on a busy life. My studio is my happy place, and I want it to be yours, too, so come exactly as you are.
