Our approach blends craftsmanship with unexpected materiality to create environments that are intellectually stimulating and deeply personal. ## Photos and videos - ![A close-up of a bespoke fireplace feature where we carved into a stone wall and used backlighting to create a fluid, glowing outline. This process involves testing how these elements interact with light and volume, ensuring the final custom detail is not just a surface treatment, but an integral part of the space's structural narrative. Our philosophy of material innovation centers on finding beauty in the unexpected. By recontextualizing mundane construction components, we create interiors that feel grounded, authentic, and unmistakably yours. ### The Raw and the Refined In our office projects, we frequently employ a 'raw meets refined' methodology. For a recent South Delhi project, we transformed reinforced steel bars into a delicate, visually permeable screen. This served a dual purpose: it segregated the reception from the conference area while maintaining an open, fluid volume. By treating industrial steel with the same precision typically reserved for high-end finishes, we challenge conventional ideas of luxury. ### Custom Fabricated Elements True bespoke design goes beyond color palettes and furniture selection. We engage in deep detailing, often designing one-off architectural features. Whether it is a faceted steel reception desk, a backlit stone fireplace, or a custom door handle echoing the building's geometric theme, every element is designed to contribute to a cohesive whole. These pieces are not merely decorative; they function as sculptural anchors that define the spatial experience. ### Materiality as Narrative In our work for clients like Laxcon Steel, we integrated the company's core product directly into the building's fabric. By using diverse derivations of stainless steel—for partitions, staircases, and wall cladding—we celebrated the client's identity within their own workspace. This approach ensures that the design is deeply rooted in the client's reality, creating a space that functions well and tells a meaningful story about the work they do. ## About Urbanscape Architects I am Dinesh Panwar, and at Urbanscape Architects, we believe interiors should possess a distinct character. We do not source from catalogues; we look for the narrative in your space and build around it, ensuring every material choice serves both form and function.
