Instead, we collaborate with you and the on-site bricklayer to create feature walls that catch the light perfectly throughout the day. This process means your home ends up with patterns and textures that are built by hand, not just ordered from a catalogue, giving the space a unique soul you can appreciate every time you walk by. Architecture is rarely about just the big layout. It is the sum of small, thoughtful decisions that make a house feel like a home. ### The Courtyard as the Lungs of the Home In the dense urban fabric of Bengaluru, we advocate for the central courtyard. It is not just an aesthetic choice. It is a functional necessity that allows your home to breathe. By ensuring all living spaces overlook this central void, we draw natural light deep into the floor plate and improve cross-ventilation. It becomes the social hub of the house, a place where you can pause for a while. ### Craft Over Clutter We are fighting against the 'Jathre' of design where the tendency is to crowd a space with everything found on Pinterest. Instead, we focus on material honesty. Whether it is intricate brick jaali work or a specific French-style moulding on a column, these elements serve a purpose. They create rhythm, texture, and visual interest without overwhelming the senses. ### How We Build Our process is transparent. We don't hide behind blueprints. We share sketches, 3D visuals, and technical drawings so you know exactly what is coming. When it comes to complex elements like custom-carved doors or feature walls, we give our on-site team the creative space to execute with precision. This collaborative approach between the architect, the client, and the skilled labour on-site ensures that the final result reflects the original vision, one brick at a time. ## About Unskrithi Design Studio We are a Bengaluru-based studio that believes a house should be a sanctuary, not a chaotic exhibition.
