Every student starts by learning the basics of grooming, tacking up, and understanding horse temperament, which ensures you are comfortable and safe before you even mount. This process helps you build a bond with the animal, turning every session into more than just a physical sport. Learning to ride is a journey of discipline and patience. At Uma Equestrian Academy, located on the grounds of Uma Public School, we prioritize safety and step-by-step progress. Our curriculum is designed to move you through the phases of riding at your own pace, ensuring you feel confident in the saddle. ### Our Training Approach We start with the fundamentals—balance, posture, and communication. Beginners are introduced to the basics of horse handling, which includes how to approach and mount safely. As you gain confidence, we transition to walking and trotting, with our instructors by your side to correct your form and ensure your safety. We focus on: * **Rider Basics:** Mounting, dismounting, and correct seat position. * **Control:** Using rein pressure and leg cues to guide your horse. * **Stable Management:** Learning to groom and tack up, which we believe is essential for any rider. ### Options for Every Rider We offer flexibility for busy schedules and varying ambitions. You can start with a single trial session to see if riding is for you, or sign up for our monthly membership, which includes up to 25 sessions. Our group lessons allow you to learn alongside others, fostering a sense of community. For those aiming to compete, we have specific training for show jumping using our dedicated arena and cross-rail obstacles. ### Why Choose Us? Our academy isn't about shortcuts. We believe that 'jeet' (victory) comes from hard work and 'karm' (your actions). Whether you are a school student looking for an after-school activity or an adult seeking a new challenge, our goal is to help you improve with every ride. We provide all essential safety gear, including helmets, so you can focus entirely on your lakshya (goal). ## About Uma Equestrian Academy We started this academy to turn horse passion into discipline. We believe that riding is 'karm'—it takes grit and patience to truly excel, and our goal is to guide you through that journey, one ride at a time.
