I create devotional pieces where each figure is born from faith, focusing on the calm presence and divine light that brings peace to your space. ## Photos and videos - [Video: A time-lapse of my painting of Shree Ram and Sita. Whether it is a soft watercolor of a deity or a large-scale oil painting of a guru, I prioritize capturing the stillness in the eyes and the warmth of the expression. This is not just a painting; it is an effort to bring a gentle, meditative presence into your home. Beyond the initial request, the process of creating spiritual art requires patience and silence. I work with both oil and watercolor, selecting the medium that best fits the subject and the scale. For larger pieces, like the 5.5-foot oil paintings I create for home shrines or personal spaces, I focus on layering light and shadow to build realism, ensuring that the final work has depth and a tactile quality. ### Understanding the subject If you are looking for a painting of a specific deity or a spiritual teacher, I start by studying reference details—the fabric, the jewelry, and most importantly, the expression. My approach involves manual sketching first to set the composition, followed by a gradual building of colors. ### Why choose hand-painted Digital prints lack the energy of a hand-painted piece. When I paint, I am not just applying pigment; I am trying to connect with the subject. This intention is what makes a custom piece different from something mass-produced. ### Customization I work closely with you on the size, the mood, and the specific details you want included. We discuss the placement and the lighting of the room to ensure the art interacts well with your space. If you are unsure about the medium, we can talk about whether oil's richness or watercolor's transparency suits your vision better. ## About Uday Bhan I believe art is my meditation. When I create a devotional piece, I surrender to the process, allowing the brush to reveal the character of the figure. My aim is simple: to help you welcome a sense of calm and spiritual connection into your daily life through art.
