## About The Art of Storytelling: Collectible Pieces

These pieces represent the intersection of sculpture and utility, designed to be more than just furniture. Whether it is the rhythmic, carved teak curves of our Vismayam chair—inspired by the explosive energy of a Theyyam performance—or the tactile, nostalgic presence of Manjadikuru seeds inlayed into our seating, we build these to anchor a room with a story. If you are looking for a conversation starter that feels like it belongs in an art gallery yet functions perfectly in your living room, these collectibles are the starting point for a conversation about your own home's narrative.

### Beyond Utility: Furniture as Cultural Artifact

At Tusker Katha, we believe the most durable heirlooms are those that carry a legacy. Our collectible series represents our most expressive work, moving away from standard production to explore the boundaries of 'Modern Indian' design. These pieces are not merely intended to fill space; they are designed to command it, serving as vessels for folklore and personal memory.

### The Vismayam Chair
Born from the reverence we feel for Theyyam, this chair attempts to capture the 'otherworldliness' of the ritual art form. The sculptural frame is carved from solid teak, with layers of wood rippling like the elaborate folds of a performer's costume. The red tones are a direct nod to the fiery face makeup used in the ritual. It is a piece that demands a second look, bridging the gap between ancient performance art and modern, ergonomic comfort.

### The Manjadi Chair
Childhood memories are often the strongest, and for many, that includes the distinct touch and vibrant red of the Manjadikuru (lucky seeds). Our Manjadi chair brings that tactile nostalgia into the living room. By embedding these seeds into the circular frame and utilizing hand-turned legs, we have created a piece that is interactive, playful, and deeply grounded in the cultural fabric of South India.

### The Bespoke Journey
While these images showcase specific limited-edition designs, they serve as the foundation for our bespoke work. When you see a technique or a design language here that speaks to you—be it the use of brass accents, complex joinery, or cultural motifs—we can adapt that visual identity into a piece customized for your space. Whether you need a statement console for your foyer or a completely new headboard design, we work with you to ensure the final piece tells your story, not just ours. If you are in Bengaluru, we invite you to our Koramangala studio to feel the wood grain and see the process firsthand.
