We (Nikhil and Gayathri) bring our Kerala roots and love for Indian folklore into pieces that feel modern but are packed with emotion and nostalgia. Stuff like the `Manjadikuru` (those lucky red seeds from Kerala) or the calmness of a `kulam` (temple pond) often sneak their way into our designs. ### Personalisation, Two Ways - Start from scratch? We go completely bespoke. You share your idea, vibe, or even a vague feeling, and we sketch, re-sketch, and dream up new designs till it feels just right. - Like one of our pieces but want it tweaked? We customise—resize, swap wood for cane, or turn a regular unit into a pooja cupboard. ### How We Work Together - We listen—really listen—to what you need and what matters to you. - We sketch, make digital designs, and keep you in the loop, so you see your ideas take shape. - Teaming up with your architect? No problem, we love getting everyone on the same page for a seamless look. ### Functional Meets Art - Every piece solves a real problem, not just looking pretty. Think TV consoles built for your sound system, foyer units with umbrella nooks, or a study table that hides your piano. - We use solid teak (super sturdy), natural rattan, and brass accents for that timeless, handcrafted finish. If you want something that feels like home and lasts for ages, that's what we do. ## Highlights Browse through Tusker Katha's best work. ### [Featured](https://mytribe.in/tuskerkatha/custom-furniture-design-build/featured) - ![This is the Vismayam chair, a piece born from the reverence we feel for Theyyam, a ritual art form from our home state of Kerala. Started off just making stuff for our home, Layam, in Bangalore, but couldn’t stop—each piece had to carry a bit of Kerala with it. Like, a console with Nilavilakku legs or a sofa with kara fabric. Even a table that stands like a Kathakali dancer! For us, furniture is not just wood and nails, it’s memories—kulam, manjadikuru, all of it. We want your stories in your space, too. ### My work - **Bespoke & Story-led Furniture**: We make handcrafted modern Indian furniture, mixing old-school Kerala vibes with your personal stories. - **Personalised Design Process**: You tell us your story, we turn it into custom heirloom furniture—headboards, tables, whatever fits your world. - **Traditional Craft, Modern Feel**: We blend South Indian crafts with a fresh touch—think hand-turned legs, wood inlays, and brass details. - **Small Team, Big Heart**: Our studio’s tight-knit, with artisans like Subhash and Shueb pouring love into every single piece. ## Book To book Tusker Katha, message mytribe on WhatsApp: [Chat on WhatsApp](https://wa.me/916360004054?text=Hi%2C%20I'm%20looking%20for%20Custom%20Furniture%20Design%20%26%20Build%20by%20Tusker%20Katha.)
