It is a real-time musical conversation where two artists lock into a rhythm to push the night in new directions. ## Photos and videos - ![Three DJs, one mission: to keep the dance floor moving. When I play with another artist, we spend time establishing a rhythm and gain staging before the first beat drops. This ensures the output remains consistent, so the crowd experiences a seamless sonic transition rather than a jarring jump between our different mixing styles. ### The B2B Dynamic Many people think a back-to-back session is just two DJs trading tracks. In reality, it is a test of musical intuition and technical preparation. I treat these sessions like a live production. We aren't just matching BPMs; we are building a narrative arc together that neither of us could sustain alone. ### Technical Execution To make this work, the hardware configuration is critical. I insist on a setup that allows for smooth handovers. Whether we are on a standard Pioneer CDJ 3000 setup or incorporating hybrid hardware like samplers and drum machines, the gain staging must be precise. If the levels are mismatched, the intensity of the floor drops, and that defeats the purpose of the set. ### Why Book a Collaborative Set? - **Musical Range:** You get two distinct sound profiles, which keeps the energy evolving over a 4 to 6-hour marathon. - **Technical Depth:** By involving multiple artists who understand gear, we can push the PA system and the room acoustics further. - **Crowd Engagement:** The constant exchange keeps the audience locked in, as the soundscape is constantly shifting and staying fresh. Whether you are looking for an all-night journey or a high-energy club takeover, a B2B session is the best way to ensure the dance floor stays engaged from the first track to the last. ## About Tuhin Mehta I spend half my life in the studio and the other half testing gear, but nothing beats the shared energy of a live B2B session. I bring my technical rig and my obsession with raw techno to the table, ready to lock in with a fellow artist for a long, unpredictable night.
