Whether they are molding a simple diya or a small bowl, our goal is to let them feel the texture of the earth beneath their fingers, helping them practice fine motor skills and patience without the pressure of creating something perfect. ### Why Pottery Matters for Little Hands Beyond the fun of getting messy, working with clay is a powerful sensory exercise for young children. When kids sit at the potter's wheel, they are actively engaging their hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. The act of centering the clay and learning to apply just enough pressure to shape it teaches a level of focus that is hard to replicate with screens or structured toys. ### What to Expect During a Session * **Safe Exploration:** We provide aprons for every child, so you do not need to worry about clothes. Our space is built to be cleaned easily, which means your child is free to get creative without hesitation. * **Guided Support:** Our facilitators are there to help, not take over. We show kids the basic techniques of coiling, pinching, and using the wheel, but we leave the artistic decisions to them. * **Tangible Results:** Every child leaves with their own creation. Seeing their hard work take shape as a real object they made themselves provides a massive boost to their independence and self-esteem. ### Perfect for Ages 2 and Up We welcome curious minds from age 2. For the youngest ones, we encourage parent-child bonding where you can guide their hands, turning the session into a peaceful, collaborative activity. It is a wonderful way to slow down, disconnect from digital distractions, and connect with your child through a shared creative task. ## About Tugbug We believe that getting messy is an essential part of the learning process. We guide little hands on the wheel, letting children explore textures and shapes at their own pace in a safe, nurturing space.
