Your child will get hands-on with natural terracotta clay, learning to control their movements as they shape, spin, and mold. We provide fabric aprons to protect their clothes, so you do not have to worry about the cleanup—just the joy of their first creation. ### Why Pottery Matters for Growing Minds Pottery is more than just a craft; it is a sensory-rich activity that helps children develop coordination and spatial awareness. By manipulating the clay, kids naturally improve their fine motor skills and tactile sensitivity. When they sit at the wheel, they aren't just making a pot—they are practicing the art of steady focus. ### The Tugbug Experience Our pottery station is designed to be accessible for all skill levels, whether it is a child’s first time touching clay or they are looking to refine their sculpting technique. * **Natural Materials:** We use high-quality terracotta clay that is soft and easy to mold. * **Guidance:** Our facilitators are always nearby to guide small hands, ensuring every child feels confident and supported throughout the process. * **The Process:** From centering the clay on the wheel to adding personal flourishes with paint later, we walk them through the entire creative journey. ### Practical Details for Parents We know that messy play can be daunting for parents, which is why we handle everything. We provide aprons for the kids and take care of the entire cleanup process afterward. If you have a toddler aged 2 to 3, join us for a bonding session where you can help them feel the clay and get comfortable with the creative process. It is a perfect way to spend an afternoon connecting away from screens. ## About Tugbug At Tugbug, we believe that 'getting messy' is a crucial part of childhood. We have designed our pottery station to be a safe, welcoming space where kids can swap screens for clay, learn to focus on the wheel, and discover the pride that comes from making something with their own two hands.
