When choosing, do not rely solely on showroom lights. Always take a sample to your own space to see how it looks under your actual home lighting, as the color temperature and room size will change everything about the final finish. ### Choosing the Right Tile for Your Space Selecting a tile is not just about the pattern. It is about how the material handles your daily life. Whether you are renovating a bathroom, planning a kitchen backsplash, or looking for flooring that can stand up to high traffic, the technical specs matter more than the trend of the month. **Floor vs. Wall: Why the distinction matters** We often see clients tempted to use beautiful wall tiles on the floor. It is a mistake that leads to cracking and safety hazards. Wall tiles are thinner, lighter, and cannot handle heavy foot traffic or the temperature shifts that flooring requires. If you are ever unsure, ask us to walk you through the PEI ratings. **Common Myths We Like to Bust** - **Matte is high maintenance:** This is simply not true. With modern vitrified surfaces, our matte tiles are scratch-resistant and require less scrubbing than traditional glossy surfaces. - **Everything needs chemical cleaners:** Most floor stains can be handled with simple, non-toxic solutions. We often recommend a mix of white vinegar and water for a streak-free clean that keeps your tiles safe. **Our Approach to Your Home** We do not push products. We operate as your design partner. With over 16,000 designs, we know the catalog can be overwhelming. Our team of interior designers sits with you, your architect, or even your family to create mood boards that help you visualize textures and layouts—like herringbone or basketweave patterns—before you commit to a single box. If you want to understand how a tile will age, or if you need specific anti-skid solutions for an elderly family member, just ask. Namaskara, let us help you find the right fit for your home. ## About Trove We are Trove, a team of design lovers who believe your home deserves more than just a standard sale.
