It is always a privilege to talk about how sustainable, vernacular architecture works in the real world. Here is where my work has been featured. ## Photos and videos - ![My Audumbara project was featured in the April-June 2024 edition of Interior Exterior Magazine, where they highlighted its exploration of vernacular earth design techniques.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/90ee6f33-a02b-4aa0-a397-ec0c7d94f5a8) - ![The magazine feature included a detailed article and beautiful photographs of the Audumbara residence.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/b3ed9ef0-d347-4d57-84e3-f989a3a1a251) - ![A page from the magazine spread, detailing the sustainable materials and design principles used in the project.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/3728d45b-c662-41fe-b96d-236210f87376) - ![I was honored when Audumbara was voted 'Project of the Week' by the audience of Volume Zero, a popular architectural platform.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/fa9d28f9-7acd-4aa4-a54e-cd4b6c323ad4) - ![I had a wonderful time discussing my work on the Ekadantaa sustainable farmland project during an interview on Fever 104 FM.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/77b938dc-337c-401a-bd6b-bd36fe99a559) - ![A duplicate of the magazine cover story.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/6015a563-32b9-430f-aefc-7012cbdfa173) - ![A duplicate of the magazine spread.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/ddec15ca-3a55-4958-835f-69747d5f4bb8) - ![A duplicate of the magazine's product details page.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/e49f68e6-aefb-48ac-b497-afb6e328b00a) ## About In the Press & On the Air When *Interior Exterior Magazine* featured my Audumbara project, they did not just look at the visuals. They explored the practical side, like the use of compressed stabilized earth blocks and jack-arch roofs to keep the home naturally cool. I approach every project with this same focus on climate-responsive, honest design, stripping away the unnecessary until you are left with a home that truly works with its environment. My work goes beyond just aesthetics. Whether it is an article discussing the technicalities of vernacular earth construction or a radio conversation about large-scale sustainable farmlands like Ekadantaa, my goal remains the same: proving that luxury and eco-consciousness are not mutually exclusive. ### Why Media Matters Being featured in publications like *Interior Exterior Magazine* or discussed on platforms like Fever 104 FM helps me show that sustainable architecture is a viable, high-quality choice for modern Indian homes. It allows me to explain concepts like passive cooling and water-efficient design to a broader audience. ### The Audumbara Experience The feature on Audumbara highlighted exactly what I mean by 'earthy and honest.' By creating bricks on-site, we reduced the carbon footprint of the build while keeping the aesthetic warm and minimal. It remains a prime example of how we can use traditional materials with modern construction techniques to create something that lasts. ### Architectural Dialogue Design is an ongoing conversation. Being named 'Project of the Week' by Volume Zero was a rewarding validation of the effort my team puts into every detail. If you are curious about how these sustainable techniques can apply to your specific plot or apartment in Bengaluru, I am happy to walk you through the process. ## About Tropic Responses I believe homes should belong to the tropics, not just sit on them. My process is simple—we use local earth, local hands, and honest techniques to build spaces that feel calm, breathable, and truly yours.
