You are not just memorizing compositions but learning the emotional cadence of Khayal and Thumri forms. To keep the training effective, our batches are limited to 5 students, ensuring that you receive the necessary one-on-one attention while benefiting from the camaraderie of group learning. Our approach to Hindustani classical training moves beyond rote learning. We focus on building a sustainable vocal practice that handles both traditional techniques and the demands of modern performance. ### The Training Structure Students start with foundational exercises—swara and sargam—before moving into specific ragas like Yaman or Brindavani Sarang. We use the harmonium in all classes, providing the immediate aural feedback necessary for pitch accuracy and understanding the raga structure. ### Why Performance Matters Many classical students struggle to bridge the gap between classroom theory and stage performance. We integrate this directly into your training. You will have access to our monthly open-mic nights where you can perform what you have learned in a supportive, real-world setting. This is where you learn to manage nerves, use a microphone properly, and deliver a piece with confidence. ### Flexibility and Certification Whether you are a hobbyist exploring Indian music for the first time or a dedicated student preparing for formal evaluations, our curriculum adapts to you. We offer private coaching for those who need to deep-dive into advanced technique or prepare for specific certification pathways. Our instructors are available at multiple locations across Bangalore, making it easier for you to maintain consistent practice regardless of your location. We believe that with the right foundation and consistent performance opportunities, anyone can master the complexity of Hindustani vocals. ## About Trishan School of Music I believe that music is a journey, not just a skill, which is why I focus on helping you find a voice that feels truly yours.
