When juries at platforms like Architizer and Kohler honored projects like *The Earth* or *Aqua Pool & Spa*, they were validating the honest use of local materials—like CSEB blocks and ferrocement—and the meticulous effort to let architecture disappear into the landscape. At the heart of every project is a quiet conversation between the site and our design. When we were named Practice of the Year 2024 at the Trends Excellence Awards, it felt less like a trophy and more like a collective nod to our approach: slow, deliberate, and deeply grounded in the Indian context. ### Validating Sustainable Architecture Our recognition for *The Earth* marketing center (Architizer A+ Awards 2025, Kohler Bold Design Awards 2024) underscores our pursuit of material honesty. By utilizing dry-cladding granite and CSEB blocks, we aimed to eliminate unnecessary cement usage while drawing inspiration from temple architecture. The awards acknowledge that sustainability does not require sacrificing aesthetic impact; rather, it thrives on the textures of local earth and stone. ### Shaping Experiences in Nature Similarly, the acclaim for *Aqua Pool & Spa* in Nandi Hills highlights our shift toward fluid, parametric forms that prioritize wellness. The nomination for Building of the Year by ArchDaily and the commendation from Trends Excellence Awards reflect the project's success in blending structural innovation with topographical harmony. These accolades represent the successful collaboration between our team and clients who trusted our vision to build differently, proving that thoughtful, nature-integrated design resonates across the industry. ## About Treelight Design We are Treelight Design. We see architecture as a conversation with nature, using mud, stone, and local craft to create spaces that breathe. Every project is a chance to move away from the noise and build something quiet and honest.
